To most, Urban Lemonade is a Philadelphia neighborhood they’ve never noticed. To many, it’s only a rumor. And to those who need it, it’s a destination.

For me, it’s my story. The story of what was, what was almost, and what is yet to be.

The stories are my catnip, and I hope you enjoy them. The people you’ll meet here are mine in body, spirit, and sometimes imagination. Some lived down the street, some only in passing, and some have always lived in my heart.

Urban Lemonade was born from a lifetime of answering the call of the wind, collecting treasures found along the road, in music, in books, behind the lens of a camera, and in the half-written songs that still have the power to break my heart.

I believe stories can always be grown in the cracks, and that we can make lemonade with whatever life places in our hands.

I believe if you leave carrying a little more hope than when you arrived, then you’ve found exactly what Urban Lemonade was hoping you’d notice.

Most of all, I believe we are always better together. Welcome to the neighborhood.
